While walking from the Civic Center subway station to Little Tokyo on Sunday, the Militant snapped this photo of the pool of water that collected at the bottom of the excavation pit for the new Los Angeles Federal Courthouse. Taken from the corner of 1st St and B'way, the Militant dubs it, "Lake Broadway." With DTLA lacking a large body of water nearby (the closest you get are the MacArthur Park and Echo Park lakes), enjoy it while it lasts. Ya gotta admit, it sure looks purty with the skyline being reflected on it.Wouldn't it be nice if there was another park located closer to Downtown with a considerably-sized artificial lake?
